Our Sales Managers are first in the chain to make the company grow. They are the ones who identify new business opportunities, negotiate and sell the social security plans for the personnel of International Organizations across the globe. They combine their drive and persistency with their communication skills to guarantee optimum service to clients and business partners. They also develop and implement sales strategies in order to achieve the sales targets as set annually .
What would a typical day look like?
As a Sales Manager you support the Sales and Client Management Director and you are constantly in contact with our Global Sales team to coordinate direct/cross or up sell initiatives. To be successful in this role you will actively seek out new sales opportunities within the market of International Organisations and use different channels to obtain new accounts. You can imagine, two days hardly ever look the same. A typical day might include the following:
Maintaining useful contacts and actively networking to develop concrete business opportunities and create new sales leads
An internal price setting meeting
Working from home to prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts
Networking at a seminar Cigna sponsors
Set everything aside to close a deal or handle a complaint
Finish a quote before the deadline while following internal processes
Have a sit down with marketing about a mailing campaign
A broker event in Dubai, London, Paris…
A meeting with Sales and Client Management to ensure smooth implementation of new business
Some running, yoga or badminton during lunch to keep your energy flowing.
What skills do you need?
Do you have 5 years of experience in sales and you have strong commercial, networking and negotiation skills? Great start! That’s essential for the role. Do you also have an international and/or healthcare background and thorough knowledge of English and French? Even better!
If on top of that you are a driven and outgoing person who is used to dealing with people at different levels and you understand cultural differences, you just might be the perfect fit.
