Responsibilities

  • Provides expert content/professional leadership on complex Infrastructure assignments/projects and advice to top management on significant Infrastructure matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.

  • Analyzes and develops logical database designs, data models and relational database definitions across multiple environments.

  • Analyzes and designs data models, logical databases and relational database definitions.

  • Provides in-depth consulting to the client and IT management and staff in the identification and resolution of information flow and content issues.

  • Performs complex data modeling studies for senior management and develops detailed data models.

  • Competent to work at the highest level of all technical phases of data analysis.

  • Provides data element naming consistent with standards and conventions and ensures that data dictionaries are maintained across multiple database environments.

  • Performs data modeling studies and develops detailed data models.

  • Participates in the development and maintenance of corporate data architecture, data management standards and conventions, data dictionaries and data element naming standards and conventions for multiple computing environments to support data warehousing and efficient data mining.

  • Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives.

  • Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders.

  • Acts as a senior team leader providing technical expertise across multiple disciplines.

  • Manage team and activities on assigned project delivery.

  • Performs in-depth tests and quality assurance checks on data and reports on an ongoing basis.

  • Performs data related investigations, track lineage and quality issues, review data layout, and structures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Self-driven and able to function with minimal direction from Manager.

  • Has the ability to engage business and data stakeholders to resolve questions or issues.

  • Must have the ability to handle multiple and sometimes competing for priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be a quick learner and a team player.

  • Advanced MS SQL (SSMS), Teradata, and MS Excel skills.

  • Advanced skills with Erwin data modeling or other similar data modeling tools and concepts for data modeling.

  • Must have team leadership skills.

  • 12 or more years of the following experience: data analysis, business, and functional requirements gathering, report and dashboard mockup/wireframe creation, process documentation, user-facing, and excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred.

  • Ability to be innovative and creative with solutions that frequently involve multiple platforms, software, hardware, technologies, and tools preferred.

  • Ability to learn the entire end-to-end process, including any handoffs, to make solution recommendations to business partners preferred.

  • Logical reasoning and attention to detail skills preferred.

  • Experience with Medicare / Medicaid preferred.
