Cigna Client Service Supervisor - Select & Middle Markets (Various Locations) in Sacramento, California
Client Service Supervisor Role Summary:
Accountable to manage a team of professionals, Client Service Consultants (CSC), Sales Support Consultants (SSC) and General Administrative Analyst Position (GAA) within the Select & Middle Market (U3000) Segment, responsible for the client/customer/broker functional sales processes and/or issue resolution, inquiries, tasks and technical resource support. This role will be responsible to lead the team through a changing environment, influencing/leading process improvement and building strong matrix relationships. Manages strategic service, process and employee plans to facilitate results attainment.
Motivate, drive accountability, coach and develop a diverse team with the ability to assess talent. Ensure effective orientation of new talent. Build a strong talent pipeline
Monitor daily staff performance, reporting and procedures for high- level customer experience and improved operational efficiency.
Ability to manage a team in different locations and/or across markets
Lead process or transactional operations. Ability to work within changing local market conditions as well as back office process development and workflows. Proactively seek out best practices and implement process changes within the team.
Align the business work effort to reduce administrative drain on Client Managers, New Business Managers and the overall sales process. Exceed client/broker expectations.
Align with Sales Managers and Director of Client Management to improve service performance and ease of doing business across Book of Business. Clearly leverages the Sales Story/Cigna value proposition
Collaborate with Evernorth (Sales Operations, EviCore, Pharmacy, etc.) to ensure effective partnership with matrix partners to increase speed of issue resolution, identify outdated processes and suggest viable alternatives to broad service items and barriers. Champions a zero tolerance for substandard service.
Bachelor degree in business or related field or equivalent related business experience
3+ years’ experience required in people management, expertise in sales or operations environment and/or demonstrated leadership/people management skills potential through other leadership experience. Proven professional leadership abilities and interpersonal skills
Technical understanding of insurance industry, broker experience, HMO, PPO, POS, funding, contract and underwriting/rating knowledge
Solid track record for identifying, developing, and implementing actions to address people and process issues/gaps
Project management skills with a strong understanding of sales, business process, and operations
Ability to drive results, think strategically and implement a national strategy
Critical thinking and organizational skills
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Effective collaboration and problem solving skills
Excellent written and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, highly matrixed environment
