POSITION SUMMARY

Cigna's Enterprise Producer Business Development (PBD) team leads the development and execution of key producer firm strategies across the Cigna portfolio. As a locally or regionally deployed member of the Producer Business Development team, the Regional Producer Relations Manager (PRM) will be responsible for working with local market leadership to develop and implement producer strategies specifically designed for and within their aligned markets. The core focus is on providing key Producer partners with the information, tools and resources to efficiently and effectively work with Cigna and its local distribution teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Producer Relations, General Managers and Sales Leadership to develop and execute Producer and Market strategies for key Producer partners in selected Markets.

  • Lead the strategy for producer engagement events and leadership meetings. Directs meeting planners on implementation of Producer Engagement events and leadership meetings.

  • Manage market/region-specific Producer relationships and provide 1st point of contact issue resolution for Producer firms that are directly managed.

  • Collaborate with reporting analyst(s) on interpretation of producer data to provide information to leadership teams within aligned markets on opportunities and risks. Collaborate with reporting analyst(s) on the development of reports that provide Sales and PBD with a holistic view of relationship between firm and Cigna which includes compensation, cross segment book of business, cross-sell, and earnings

  • Work in partnership with entire PBD team to ensure consistent messaging, sharing competitive intelligence and house/market strategy best practices.

  • Work with the Communications Manager executing communications strategy to differentiate Cigna with targeted houses/firms.

  • Provide support and data driven counsel on producer survey results, compensation and service agreements.

  • Manage or assist in the management of supplement producer compensation dollars

  • Partner with PPM Sponsor Team and Sales Management to identify which producer partners participate in various pilot programs. Communicate pilot programs to participating producers.

  • Identify opportunities with Producers to partner together with local community via sponsorships, events, etc.

  • Lead the strategy, planning and execution of Producer training events in coordination with Sales and subject matter experts.

  • Ensure there is connectivity across all segments and lines of business within a market on Producer strategy.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred, master’s degree a plus.

  • Owning, driving and influencing results and outcomes both internally with markets and externally with managed firms.

  • Proven ability to create and further develop strong relationships with Senior Leaders and key matrix partners.

  • Excellent oral/written presentation and communication skills.

  • Ability to navigate, lead, and influence in a matrixed environment is critical.

  • Adaptable, flexible and able to lead/manage the organization through change.

  • Goal-oriented and personally accountable; resourceful and self-directed.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Strong business acumen, with proven ability to leverage knowledge base and communicate this knowledge to key stakeholders and business partners.

  • Adapts to ambiguous or unfamiliar terrains.

  • Works independently

  • Strong experience and skill managing relationships

  • 5+ years industry experience (particularly carrier and/or consultant environment)

  • Life, Accident & Health Insurance license a plus.
