The Cigna Group Internal Consultant/Business Project Advisor - Hybrid in St. Louis, Missouri

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is part of an “internal consulting” group leading strategy development and execution on enterprise-wide initiatives impacting functions across the organization. This position is responsible for consulting with cross-functional partners, including senior executives, and may also lead small teams or working groups to execute on cross- functional strategic projects, provide content/idea creation, and be responsible for managing and synthesizing strategic topics. The individual will be responsible for development and maintenance of components of initiative-specific project plans, quantifying the risks and impact, and executing solutions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Handling a dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities

  • Synthesizes complex concepts into a digestible message

  • Stays aware & on top of the changing healthcare landscape in order to provide relevant enterprise strategy guidance

  • Provides business direction and project management for strategic and tactical projects at site level. Analysis of complex situations, distillation of the issues into options and driving to appropriate conclusions

  • Responsible for successful implementation of key strategic projects as well as driving activities and actions to achieve aligned goals

  • Ability to be flexible as priorities change, new areas have needs, or team capacity dictates

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline highly preferred; Master's degree a plus

  • 5+ years' relevant work experience with proven track record of success

  • Previous experience in management consulting preferred

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and lead others effectively

  • Ability to manage change, ambiguity, timelines and balance multiple deadlines in a very fast-paced environment

  • Extensive project management skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and cross-functional interaction skills, including presentation

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage specific deliverables and work load within an environment of tight deadlines for self and for their team

  • Ability to manage complex analysis from issue identification to proposal of potential solutions and work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
