Cigna National Account Executive Healthcare Team Lead – National Accounts - West (California, Washington, Colorado) in United States

** Candidate should be based in the Western US (California, Washington & Colorado preferred)

Responsibilities can include :

  • Manages up to 7 NAEs directly, to include the following:

  • Coaching and managing performance

  • Developing and implementing individual development action plans with NAEs to support efforts to align with business strategy and goals

  • Setting clear and appropriate performance expectations. Evaluates and provides timely feedback on performance against those expectations.

  • Evaluating strengths and areas of development for NAEs in mid-year and year-end performance review discussions

  • Significantly increases leadership visibility with clients

  • Oversees and influences large transactions and strategy

  • Collaborates with other Team Leads and with Market Lead to ensure alignment on strategies and achievement of revenue targets; holds direct accountability for results

  • Models critical account management skills and acts as a subject matter expert for direct reports and other NAEs

  • Participates as a key member of hiring process for new NAEs

  • Champions perpetual change within CIGNA to ensure that we anticipate market trends and offer industry-leading products and services

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others

  • Expert knowledge in healthcare / managed care business; to include many or all of the following: product knowledge, underwriting, risk and financial analysis skills, marketing processes, sales practices, account management and knowledge of administrative operations

  • Strong persuasion skills and effective communicator; possesses excellent relationship-building skills

  • Demonstrated planning/organizational skills; ability to plan for both the long and short term; ability to work on many issues at once and to prioritize work

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with matrix partners in the organization

  • Customer focus - ability to meet customer expectations and act with a strong focus on how to deliver

  • Effective speaking and communication skills; demonstrated presentation skills
